Several factors can contribute to a discrepancy in color between what you see on a website and the actual product:

  1. Display Settings: Colors may appear differently on various screens due to differences in monitor settings, screen resolution, brightness, and contrast. What you see on your device might not perfectly replicate the true color of the item.
  2. Photography and Lighting: Lighting conditions during product photography can significantly affect how colors appear. Natural light, studio lighting, or editing techniques can impact the perceived color in images. Sometimes, slight variations in lighting can result in differences between the product's actual color and its representation online.
  3. Material and Dye Variations: Leather, being a natural material, can have slight variations in texture and color from one piece to another. Also, dyes and finishes applied during the crafting process might result in minor color discrepancies between items.
  4. Batch Differences: If the items are produced in different batches, there might be slight variations in color due to changes in production or dye lots.

To Care For your leather

  1. Dry it when it gets wet
Don't rub, gently blot excess water a soon as possible and allow the rest to air dry. Do not use a heat source to speed up drying. When drying a bag stuff the inside with newspaper to to help the bag hold its shape and to help absorb moisture from the interior
  2. If it's dry use conditioner
Massage a high quality leather conditioner into the leather and use a clean cloth to gently wipe off excess.
  3. Storing
Proper storage is important when caring for leather. Store leather in a space from heat, humidity, sunlight, and dust - preferably in a fabric bag (not plastic). Airing out your leather will help prevent mold growth.

To clean your leather

  1. Prepare a cleaning solution:
Avoid using harsh detergents or chemicals as they can damage your leather.
In a bowl mix a little saddle soap, mild dish soap, or baby shampoo with warm water to create a soapy solution
(Optional Vinegar Solution for stains) If your leather item has stubborn stains you can create a mild vinegar water solution. 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water. Use it to clean the stained areas.
  2. Test a hidden spot
Before cleaning the entire item test the cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area to ensure it doesn't discolor or damage the leather. Wait a few minutes to see how the leather reacts.
  3. Cleaning
Dip a clean cloth into the soapy solution and wring it out, it should be damp not dripping wet. Gently wipe the entire surface of the leather item, paying extra attention to any stains or spots. Avoid excessive rubbing or scrubbing.
  4. Rinse
Using a second clean cloth, dampened with plain warm water, wipe the soap residue of your leather item.
  5. Dry Thoroughly
Allow your leather item to dry naturally, away from direct sources of heat like direct sunlight, radiators, or forced hot air.
  6. Conditioning
Once your leather item is completely dry you can apply a leather conditioner to keep it soft a supple. Follow the conditioner's instructions carefully.
