Every piece created in the workshop reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, patience, and continual improvement—qualities that have guided the journey from that first handmade holster to the work produced today.
The Beginning
My journey into leathercraft began with a simple challenge. After purchasing a new firearm, I wanted a holster that fit exactly the way I preferred. The options available didn’t quite meet my expectations, so I decided to try making one myself.
The first attempts were rough, but after several versions I finally produced one that worked well. That small success sparked a deeper interest in the craft. From there I began creating other pieces—wallets, belts, and key chains. With each project I pushed myself further, gradually moving into more complex work such as purses and decorative tooling. Every piece became an opportunity to learn, refine my skills, and better understand the material.
Over the years, leather has become more than just a material I work with—it has become a craft I continually strive to improve.
Craftsmanship
My workshop is where each project takes shape. Every item is made by hand and crafted when it is ordered. From cutting and shaping to stitching and finishing, each step is done with care and attention to detail.
Leather is a remarkable material—durable, versatile, and capable of developing a rich character over time. My goal is to create pieces that are not only functional, but built to last and improve with age.
Discovering Bookbinding
Alongside leathercraft, I have always been an avid reader. I’ve long admired the beauty and durability of traditional leather-bound books and wanted to create my own editions of some of the books I enjoy.
During the pandemic, I began studying the art of bookbinding and experimenting with rebinding printed books into leather covers. Like any craft, it took time, practice, and many attempts to refine the process. Eventually I reached the point where I felt confident producing high-quality rebinds that combine traditional bookbinding with leather craftsmanship.
Today, these collector editions allow me to combine two passions—books and leatherwork—into something meant to be both enjoyed and preserved for generations.
Custom and Made-to-Order Work
Every piece in the shop is crafted when it is ordered. This allows me to focus on quality and attention to detail rather than mass production.
Many items can also be personalized or customized, allowing customers to choose details that make a piece uniquely their own.
Faith
My faith plays an important role in how I approach both life and work. Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24:
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
This passage is a constant reminder that our work should be done with care, integrity, and dedication. I strive to apply that principle to every piece I create.
I also hold to the hope expressed in John 3:16-21, that through Christ we are offered redemption and new life. My faith shapes how I approach my craft, my work, and the people I serve.
In the Workshop
Every piece offered in the shop is made in my workshop and crafted by hand when it is ordered. I do not mass-produce items or outsource the work.
Working this way allows me to focus on quality, careful construction, and the small details that give handmade pieces their character.
